JAYNA |
Jayna Michele Davis was born on 6 November 1963 in Anaheim,
Orange, California. Shortly after her
birth she was adopted by LeRoy Junior Davis and Mary Kay Lynch.
Jayna grew up in Anaheim where she went to Walt Disney Elementary
School and Savanna High School.
She married Brian Darnell, Senior, and they had a son, Brian
Darnell, Junior.
One of Jayna’s most enjoyable yearly activities was to go to
the Colorado River to a favorite camping spot.
Her father, Junior and
a relative, Don Pihl, went in together to start a franchise business called
“Central Park”. This was a business
that sold quarter pound hamburgers, fries and a drink from a little kiosk. The
kiosk was located in Roy, Utah. Junior and Don asked Jayna to help run the
kiosk.
The following are
comments by David Pihl, the son of Don Pihl:
It was called Central Park and she worked so
hard to make it a success. Eventually we all wanted to quit and do something else.
The store was sold, and the month after we left, their sales dropped almost in
half. The new owners weren't willing to put in the work that Jayna did.
Jayna most recently worked for the County of Riverside,
California.
In 2017, Jayna was diagnosed with cancer of the lungs. After a valiant fight for quite a while, the
cancer eventually spread to the liver.
Jayna died on 7 February 2018 at a mobile home with her son,
Brian Darnell, Junior.
Services were be held at 15181 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92504.
Jayna is survived by her
brother, Robin R. Davis; her son Brian Darnell, Jr.; her daughter, Heather
Torres and Heather’s children.
Jayna will be cremated and her ashes will be spread over the
Colorado River at her favorite camping spot.
